ColourPop Lip Review

(Disclaimer: I was not paid to do this review, and I bought all products myself, however I did insert affiliate links.)

I was recently introduced to the world of ColourPop cosmetics through my best friend, Audrey AKA Queen of Colourpop. She's seriously a HUGE fan of all their products and her enthusiasm was so convincing, one day I found myself with an online cart full of lipsticks that I narrowed down to a good eleven.

After processing my order, they were delivered within two days. That's amazing, considering they were sent from California to Alabama. The packaging was very minimal -- a large all-white envelope with a simple Colourpop sticker logo in the front with a few cute cards from the Kaerueche collection and Colourpop themselves. I honestly was expecting packaging similar to ipsy's pink metallic envelopes or Glossier's pink box , but I'm not too concerned with this as I usually throw away the packaging anyways.

All the colors looked surprisingly great on me, however I can't stress enough how important it is to do your research and to at least find Youtubers or bloggers with a similar complexion to yours wearing these products to get a feel of what they'll look on you before making a purchase. This is crucial and necessary since they don't have a physical store or products in department stores where you can try them on.

Having used other brands in the past, I was so scared Colourpop's matte colors would be drying and would flake easily. However, to my surprise, I couldn't even tell I had any product on my lips and these colors stayed put all day. I would even caution you that these colors are impossible to take off at the end of the day without some use of oil (I use coconut oil, followed by wipes). Being a college student that's typically up by 6 A.M. and not seeing sleep until midnight, it's nice to finally have finally found a product that really lasts all day, and not the usual eight hours.

It's also worth noting that most of their products are vegan, with the exception of a few which you can see here.

How to get this product? Currently you can only get Colourpop products off their website, or through 3rd parties like GlamBot and Amazon. If you sign up for email updates on Colourpop, you get $5 off your first purchase (which is really the equivalent to a free product). By using Glambot, you can get Colourpop products at an even cheaper price!

Conclusion? I love these products I've bought so far. I'm excited to venture out into their other product categories, as I've heard nothing but good things about their eye shadows as well.
